Fairtrade certification
The Fairtrade label guarantees:
- A price for the fruit which is guaranteed to cover the costs of production;
- Direct purchase from farmer organizations;
- Per box of fruit a so-called Fairtrade premium to invest in social and environmental projects;
- No use of child labour;
- Environmentally friendly production methods;
- Long-term trading relationships.
FLO is an independent organization that sets Fairtrade standards and ensures that they are met by producers and traders.
